Rice fields are protected by ex-poachers who fire chili-powder from their old muzzle-loading guns at elephants that approach rice fields and can decimate entire fields in a single night. This is a non-lethal way local rice farmers and reformed poachers have devised to live with elephants while continuing to supply rice to It’s Wild! consumers.
