Dried Wild Mushroom

Product of Zambia
A uniquely, rich-tasting wild mushroom called “Tente”, produced from the soils that support the indigenous forest referred to as “miombo”.
Giving value to conservation.
Hand-picked by resident women who search for these mushrooms in their local forests that are set aside for protection under locally-enforced conservation plans.
Once the 'tente' (Amanita zambiana) mushrooms are harvested and paid for, they are taken to our processing centers where each mushroom is inspected, cleaned and cut before drying in a specially designed oven that uses renewable energy for drying.
Mushrooms are given a special commodity value when communities demonstrate their resolve to stop making charcoal from local forests.
